Owned and operated by Tom and Katelynn Cutts, we specialize in steep‑slope and low‑slope roofing, siding, gutters and gutter protection, skylights, and exterior repairs. Our goal is simple: deliver quality craftsmanship with an exceptional customer experience so home improvements are as stress‑free and enjoyable as possible.
From college projects to a community business
How We Began
Tom discovered his passion for exterior work during college and, with the encouragement and partnership of Katelynn, launched Resistance Exteriors in 2014. What began as a desire to provide excellent workmanship grew into a company built around people — supporting employees, valuing relationships with customers, and fostering a healthy workplace where everyone can improve and grow.
Born and raised in Lake Country, Tom and Katelynn started dating in high school. Today they raise their children, Dallas and Ducati, alongside three cats and a dozen chickens. When they’re not on a job site, they enjoy traveling, fishing, and exploring the outdoors.

Katelynn serves on the Delafield Chamber of Commerce Board as Vice President, and in 2023 Resistance Exteriors was voted a Neighborhood FAVE by Nextdoor. We’re honored to protect the homes and businesses of the community that raised us.
